Quarantine Free Entry

Updated July 01st, 2022

From 1st July 2022, foreign nationals are only required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel. These can be in print or digital format. Random checks will be made on arrivals at Thailand’s international airports or land border checkpoints (in 22 provinces). Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers who are randomly checked and who are unable to show proof of a pre-arrival negative test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry.

Until July 1st the following rules are in effect, with specific requirements for vaccinated and unvaccinated / not fully vaccinated travelers from all countries/territories with scheduled arrivals from this date.

On Arrival Requirements

Upon arriving in Thailand, all travelers must undergo entry screening, including a body temperature check, and present the required documents to the Immigration/Health Control officer to carry out the checks.

The vaccinated travelers will then be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom. *For arrivals by land using a border pass, they will be allowed a stay of no longer than 3 days within the specified areas only.

Likewise, unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers who have uploaded proof of a negative result from an RT-PCR test or professional ATK within 72 hours of travel via the Thailand Pass system will be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom.

Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers without a negative test result within 72 hours of travel are required to follow the public health instructions and guidelines as deemed appropriate by the Health Control officer at the point of arrival.

During the Stay

While in Thailand, both vaccinated and unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers are advised to strictly follow the health and safety standards. Travelers who are experiencing COVID-like symptoms should get tested. If testing positive, they must get the appropriate medical treatment.

Our resort, like many since the start of the epidemic, does not stock the fridge automatically, so if you would like something other than water please let us know -- we can go shopping for you, or help you order food delivered from a great local restaurant.

Most of our reservations are fully refundable so if you run into trouble we will quickly ensure a refund.

If you test positive and quarantine at the hotel we cannot clean the room but will provide linens as well as help deliver whatever you need for the duration of the quarantine.

Kamala Beach Estate Resort has helped many guests through the entry process.
We are happy to help you.
